CURRICULUM OUTLINE

Key Learning Outcomes:

Unit One - Self Esteem & Self Confidence
You will develop the ability to recognise inadequate & compulsive behaviour patterns, called subpersonalities in Psychosynthesis, and transform them into positive, responsible methods of meeting your needs. 
This leads to self esteem and improved relationships with others.

Assignment:

  3. Subpersonalities - co-ordination & integration

  4. Family dynamics and self assessment


Unit Two - Self Responsibility
Through exploring experientially the many facets of your personality you will learn to know yourself more than ever before.  You will learn about the stages of development, your Higher Self and what that means to you.
You will also learn about the therapeutic value of forgiveness, both self forgiveness and forgiving others.

Assignment:

  2. The Divinity within

  3. The Shadow

  4. The healing power of forgiveness and self assessment


Unit Three - Self Direction
This unit promotes a move from external power as a motivating force in your life, to experiencing the internal, authentic power of your 'self' within.  You will learn about the aspects of your will, goodwill, the wise and skilful will, and how to be a self-directed person in charge of your life.

  2. Stages of the will

  3. Aspects of the will

  4. Qualities of the will, Psychological Types and Self assessment


Unit Four - Self Realisation
In this unit you will be given the opportunity to learn creative meditation.  You will learn to recognise and work with your intuition and develop the capacity to discriminate between the different levels of inner guidance.  You will expand your awareness of the totality of who you are through the exploration of the transpersonal.

  1. Creative Meditation

  2. Intuition

  3. A question of guidance

  4. Spiritual crisis and self assessment


Unit Five - Life Expression
This unit will enable you to explore the power of imagery.    It will give you the opportunity to use your creative imagination to re-vision the future.  You will be required to do a special project which will enable you to demonstrate your creativity and initiative.

Assignment:

  1. Power of imagery

  2. Synthesis

  3. & 4. Special Project & Collaborative assessment

You may choose to do the units in any order that you wish except for unit five.  You may choose to do only one unit.  The time needed to complete a unit varies according to the individual.  Approximately eight months are needed to complete a unit, four years on average to complete the whole programme.
