How the system operates:
Registration
The first step is to make a written application as outlined in the registration page. Successful applicants will receive a letter of acceptance and the orientation folder. Upon payment of fees, the first study materials will be sent out to you.
Study materials
Study materials are normally posted to you on receipt of a previous assignment. Comments on your assignment from your mentor will follow shortly afterwards. The study materials include printed material in the form of a study-guide, required and recommended readings, experiential exercises, and/or personal inquiry and in some cases audio tapes. A bibliography is provided at the beginning of the programme in the orientation folder listing
all books required for each unit.
Contact with mentors
At the commencement of the programme you will be appointed a mentor who will be your guide through the process. Most contact is likely to be by letter. However you are encouraged to use email or to telephone your mentor.
Individual counselling sessions
During the process of the programme emotional issues will arise that may need immediate attention. You will need to be responsible for yourself at these times and seek counselling locally. If you live in or near the Nelson district in New Zealand, sessions can be arranged with your mentor.
Workshops
A yearly
Gathering is held in a delightful country venue near Nelson. This will give you the opportunity to meet your mentor, other staff and students, and gain practical experience of Psychosynthesis. Other workshops are held at different times of the year and students are informed about them.
Assessment
Self-assessment is included at the completion of each unit. At the conclusion of the programme you and your mentor will meet for a collaborative assessment process.
Awards
On the successful completion of the programme to the satisfaction of the staff, and provided you have met all requirements as outlined in the criteria for a diploma and paid all fees, you will receive a
Diploma in Psychosynthesis - Work Completed.
